Large flames and plumes of smoke rose from the Ryazan Oil Refinery after locals reported explosions shortly before 1am on Sunday, the Russian Telegram news channel Astra said.
The reports come two days after Ukraine claimed an attack involving at least 121 drones on the same refinery on Friday, marking one of the largest single operations of its kind during the war.

The Astra channel said video footage of the fires circulating online was at the site, but did not confirm whether a new strike had occurred or the flames were the result of Friday’s attack.

Ukraine launched a separate missile attack on a Russian command post in the Korenevo area of the Kursk region, the General Staff of its armed forces said.
There have been no reports of immediate casualties from the strikes.
Ukraine’s military intelligence agency also carried out a drone attack on the Ryazan Oil Refinery in May last year.
