University 40, Eaton 27

Senior Janay Kravig scored 15 points for University and the Bulldogs remained undefeated this season with a 4A Patriot League win over Eaton on Thursday night in Greeley.

Kravig shot 4 of 11 from the field, hitting 2 of 6 from 3-point range and 5 of 6 from the free throw line.

Maddie McNair added nine points and 13 rebounds for University, which is 3-0 in the league and 12-0 overall.

Courtney Steinkamp led Eaton with 12 points. Eaton is 2-1 in the league and 8-5 overall.

Platte Valley 81, Frontier Academy 20

Lauryn Uyemura scored 23 points on 10 of 11 shooting from the field for Platte Valley, Mia Koffler added 18 points and Kennedi Nelson scored 13 points in the Broncos’ 3A Patriot League win. Platte Valley is 1-2 in the league and 9-4 overall. Frontier Academy is 0-3 in the league and 3-10 overall.

Sterling 38, Valley 33

The host Tigers outscored Valley 16-6 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 4A Patriot League win. Sterling is 2-1 in the league and 6-6 overall. Christina Maestas and Nevaeh Jimenez each scored 11 points for Valley, 1-2 in the league and 7-5 overall.

Roosevelt 67, Thompson Valley 41

The Roughriders jumped out to a 17-point halftime lead and remained undefeated in the 5A/4A Longs Peak League with their third straight win. Roosevelt is 7-0 and in first place in the league and 11-3 overall.

Fort Lupton 63, Arvada 25

Marely Gomez scored 23 points on 9 of 10 shooting from the field and 4 of 5 from 3-point range in the Bluedevils’ 4A/3A/2A Frontier League win. The win was Fort Lupton’s fifth in a row. Fort Lupton is 2-0 in the league and 6-7 overall.

SkyView Academy 43, Union Colony Prep 37

The Hawks outscored Union Colony 25-17 in the second half to win a 3A/2A/1A Mile High League game. Lydia Slocum scored 21 points for SkyView, winners of four straight and 5-1 in the league and 6-6 overall. Union Colony is 2-4 in the league and 5-5 overall.

Windsor Charter Academy 35, Loveland Classical Academy 33 (OT)

The Firebirds outscored Loveland Classic 2-0 in overtime of a nonconference game to move to 8-5 overall.

Boys basketball

University 56, Eaton 41

Marcus Prestwich scored 18 points for the University High boys basketball team Thursday night, Coehn Nitzel added 15 points and Gage Schminke scored 10 points in the Bulldogs’ Class 4A Patriot League win over the Reds.

University remains undefeated in the league at 3-0 with its third straight win. The Bulldogs are 9-3 overall. Eaton is 1-2 in the league, 5-7 overall and on a three game losing streak. University pulled away in the second half, outscoring Eaton 33-21.

Thompson Valley 61, Roosevelt 49

The visiting Eagles broke open a close game with a 25-point third quarter in a 5A/4A Longs Peak League win over Roosevelt. Thompson Valley is 5-2 in the league and 9-5 overall. Brooks Reckard and Brody Burke both scored 16 points for Roosevelt, 3-5 in the league and 7-8 overall.

Sterling 70, Valley 38

The host Tigers won their third straight game and remained tied with University for first place in the Class 4A Patriot League standings with a 3-0 record. Sterling is 8-4 overall. Valley is 0-2 in the league and 2-9 overall.

Platte Valley 81, Frontier Academy 54

Platte Valley picked up its first Class 3A Patriot League win of the season with a victory Thursday night over Frontier Academy. Platte Valley is 1-2 in the Patriot League and 4-9 overall. Frontier is 1-3 in the league and 8-6 overall.

Dayspring Christian 48, Denver Academy 41

The host Eagles scored 28 points in the first half of its nonconference win over Denver Academy. Dayspring Christian, 4-7 overall, has won two games in a row.

Fort Lupton 84, Arvada 52

Fort Lupton took a 51-18 lead in the first half and rolled their fourth straight win in a 4A/3A/2A Frontier League game. Fort Lupton is 2-0 in the league and 9-4 overall. Arvada is 0-2 in the league and 1-13 overall.

Fort Morgan 57, Weld Central 45

The host Mustangs picked up their first win in the 4A Patriot League standings with a victory over the Rebels. Fort Morgan is 3-10 overall. Weld is 0-2 in the league and 1-9 overall.

SkyView Academy 81, Union Colony Prep 51

SkyView led 53-27 at halftime and went on to a lopsided win in a 3A/2A/1A Mile High League win. Markus Lloyd scored led SkyView with 30 points. The Hawks are 5-1 in the league and 9-3 overall. Union Colony is 3-3 in the league and 7-5 overall.

Boys wrestling

Severance 59, Greeley Central 23

The Silver Knights won 10 bouts in a victory over the Wildcats. Four Severance wrestlers won by pin of their Greeley Central opponent. Severance state champion Drake VomBaur earned a win by technical fall at 120 pounds.

Roosevelt 65, Berthoud 10

Travis Long (132 pounds), Malakii Martin (138), Chris LaLonde (144), Peyton Wright (150), Jacobo Rosales (157), Thomas Dunn (165), Kason Lopez (175), Noah Stratton (285) and Hudson Link (106) all won matches for the Roughriders in a win over Berthoud.

Roosevelt 64, Wellington 18

Roosevelt won 11 of 14 bouts in a victory over Wellington.
