Jaden Greathouse, who caught and scampered for a 34-yard TD earlier in this game, just caught a touchdown pass from Riley Leonard to cut Ohio State’s lead to 10. Moments later, Jordan Faison connected with Bo Collins for a successful 2-point conversion.

Just like that, Notre Dame trails by only 8 points. And with just over 4 minutes remaining in the game and all 3 timeouts, the Irish will have a chance to reclaim the ball with a stop.

Greathouse has been a massive piece during Notre Dame’s comeback bid. He’s caught a pair of touchdowns and converted several first downs. So far, he’s sitting at 5 receptions for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns.

But there’s still a very long way to go for the Irish. Notre Dame still needs to stop the best offense in America, then they’ll have to drive the field and score a touchdown. Finally, they’d need the ensuing 2-point conversion to be successful. If they can do all that, the Irish could stick around for overtime.
