The security around Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was beefed up, after an anonymous threat letter was received at his Naveen Niwas residence. The threat letter talks about a conspiracy to eliminate him. After the threat letter surfaced, the Home Department has asked the DG Police, Director of Intelligence and Commissioner of Police to tighten the security of Naveen Patnaik. The handwritten letter in English has claimed that the contract killers hired to kill Naveen Patnaik have been following him. The list of the 17 cars being used has also been provided. “The criminals can attack you anytime. Please be aware that the criminals are constantly following you,” the letter reads.
