Resurrection Christian 65, Kent Denver 46, in Loveland: The Cougars won every quarter on their way to a near-20-point victory over Kent Denver. Resurrection Christian kept its perfect season alive with the win, moving to 10-0 on the season.
Skyline 59, Greeley Central 47, in Longmont: Greeley Central (4-7) mounted a valiant comeback effort, outscoring Skyline 21-5 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t quite enough in the Wildcat’s conference loss. The loss marked Central’s first in its past four games, after winning three straight coming in.

Northridge falls to 3-9 with the non-conference loss.
Yuma 60, Eaton 56, in Eaton: Eaton fell back to .500 on the season at 5-5 after dropping a close one to Yuma. Sophomore Crew Haythorn paced the Reds with 19 points and junior Ely Madaleno added 18 points.
Weldon Valley 43, Briggsdale 35, in Briggsdale: The Falcons dropped their first Class 1A North Central League game, dropping a defensive battle to Weldon Valley. The loss drops Briggsdale to 4-6.
Girls basketball
Greeley Central 59, Skyline 30, in Longmont: The Wildcats stretched their win streak to four games with an almost-30-point drubbing of the Falcons. The win moved Central to 7-4 on the season.

(Jim Rydbom/Staff Photographer)Briggsdale 56, Weldon Valley 26, in Briggsdale: The Falcons got a hot start and never looked back in their first Class 1A North Central League game, outscoring Weldon Valley 36-12 in the first half. The win was Briggsdale’s fifth recorded victory in a row, moving its record to 7-1.
Eaton 53, Yuma 40, in Eaton: The Reds won their fourth game in a row behind a big second half performance against non-conference foe Yuma. After leading by just two at half, the Reds (7-4) outscored the Outlaws 37-26 through the final two frames. Sophomore Courtney Steinkamp (19 points), junior Sarah Gain (17) and sophomore Delaney Reuter (11) all scored in double digits for Eaton.
Prairie 49, Kimball 30, in Kimball, Nebraska: Prairie bounced back from back-to-back losses with a definitive win north of the border. The win moves the Mustangs to 6-5 on the season.
Boys wrestling
Dayspring tops trio of local schools at Iron Will Dual Tournament, in Greeley: Dayspring Christian Academy was the top local finisher, compiling 287 points across its six matches to finish fourth. Greeley West (174) finished fifth, despite a bye round cutting into the team’s total points. University (150) and Greeley West’s junior varsity squad (145) rounded out the local teams, finishing eighth and 10th, respectively.
Dayspring went 4-1 in group-play duals, beating Greeley West 42-35 in it’s final dual. The Spartans went 2-2 in group-play duals — finishing with one less dual than their competitors — before falling to the Eagles.
University won two of five group-play duals before falling to Timnath in its last dual. Greeley West’s junior varsity went 1-4 in group play, defeating Byers for its lone win, before falling to Wiggins in its final dual.
Roosevelt finishes sixth to pace Weld teams at Top of the Rockies, in Lafayette: Roosevelt scored 109.5 team points on its way to a county-best sixth-place finish. Fort Lupton (80 points) finished 10th, Severance (62) finished 15th, Greeley West (49) finished 22nd and Greeley Central (38) finished 29th to round out the local finishers.
Chris LaLonde (144 pounds) was the Roughriders top finisher, taking home silver. Travis Long (132) and Malakii Martin (138) both added fourth-place finishes.
Christopher Galicia (175) paced the Bluedevils with a third-place finish. Fort Lupton had three others finish sixth.
Severance’s Drake VomBaur was Weld’s lone winner, finishing atop the 113-pound bracket. No other Silver Knight’s wrestler placed in the packed field.

Daniel Romero (106) finished third for Greeley Central, who only sent four wrestlers.
Windsor wins Northglenn Norse Invite, in Northglenn: The Wizards, paced by five winners, took home first place at with 240 points. Greeley Central finished 18th with 22 points.
Windsor swept the 157-pound bracket through the 215-pound bracket on its way to the team win. Walker Percy (157) won his final match by fall in 42 seconds, Robert Kendall (165) won his final match by 7-1 decision, Santi Fernandez (175) pinned his final opponent in 1:49, Brayden Fernandez (190) pinned his final opponent in 59 seconds and Evan Perez (215) — who is still undefeated at 29-0 on the season — won his final match by pinfall in 1:07.
Yaidel Lopez-Nava (106) and Patrick Lesnicki (165) performed the best for the Wildcats, with each winning two matches before dropping out of the consolation bracket.
