A HOMEOWNER has come up with a bizarre way to try to stop cars from blocking their driveway—much to the bemusement of their neighbours.
Drivers looking for a place to park in Sheepshead Bay, New York, should steer well clear of one home, which has become something of a local sensation—largely thanks to the dozens of “No Parking” signs positioned all over the property.

Records show the property was bought in 2021 for $1.9 million, with over 20 signs hung outside the following year.
It’s also believed that at least eight 311 calls have been made from the address since 2022 complaining about a blocked driveway.
One neighbour said: “It’s a little funky.
“It’s just weird, you know? It’s too much.”
Signs dotted around the property read “Restricted Area,” “Do Not Enter,” “Authorized Personnel Only,” “Smile, You’re On Camera,” and “Emergency Doctor’s Active MD Driveway 24/7. Don’t Block.”
If that isn’t enough, neighbours count at least 51 security cameras installed on the home, too.
Another neighbour, Maria, said: “They put the signs and cameras up as soon as they moved in.
“Normal people might put one sign up.”
She added: “They’re crazy.
“They don’t speak to anyone; they barely open the door.”
Another neighbour said: “It is very hard to park around here; it’s very congested.
“It’s a very quiet area, so I don’t know why they need all the cameras.”
Reportedly, there were more signs, with warnings put up on a hydrant just outside the property—but these were taken down.
Maria revealed that bins in front of the property are often left overflowing with medical paraphernalia, such as exam gloves and surgical shoe covers.
She even attempted to report this to the health authorities.
Min Pyae Sone, another neighbour, believes the signs and cameras are just inviting more trouble.
He said: “I guess they didn’t want anyone parking in front of their house.
“If you see those signs, you kind of want to park there, no?
“I don’t know why they have more than 50 cameras.
“There have been porch pirates but no serious or violent crime.”
