In a new video on social media, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model shared footage from the firefighter base on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, where 3,000 first responders are sleeping in tents between 18-hour shifts.
As seen in her Instagram post on Monday, Jan. 13, Austin was on the ground to help deliver and sort donations of snacks and supplies to the fire base.
"Speaking with the firefighters. Seeing the fire damage on the hills. I don’t know if anyone could be emotionally prepared," the 31-year-old former athlete wrote. "I kept it together all day until I got home and it hit me hard."

"It was eye opening to see how they sleep. How they eat.. cheezits and sunscreen made them light up," Austin wrote in her caption. "16-24 hour shifts. Seeing their faces with ash on it. Unimaginable."
At the end of her caption, Austin wrote, "(And yes I'm reposting my stories because I'm too emotionally drained to do anything else ❤️)."
