The font and spark have both received tweaks, with "Walmart" now boasted in a thicker font with straighter edges and the spark now displayed over a darker shade of blue with a smoother outline.
According to Walmart, the company attributes the bolder look to that seen on an old trucker hat belonging to founder Sam Walton and calls back to a previous logo used by the retailer from the '80s to the early aughts, according to CNN.
"I’m glad they let us know otherwise I wouldn’t have ever been able to tell," one wrote on X.
"I can't believe someone got paid for this," another user wrote, sharing a side-by-side comparison of the spark's redesign.
