When wildfires broke out in Los Angeles County last week, restaurants were quick to offer assistance to evacuees and first responders.

Local and national restaurant chains have responded as well, providing free meals to first responders. Here are a few of their offers as described in news releases.

Denny’s: The diner is offering a free Original Grand Slam and hot coffee to first responders in uniform through Sunday, Jan. 19. The offer is for dine-in only. dennys.com

KFC: First responders can get a free KFC Bowl at participating locations through Monday, Jan. 20. kfc.com

Law enforcement officers, emergency medical services members (EMTs or paramedics), fire service members, and members of the military engaged in relief efforts (who are carrying their first responder ID), can visit one of these select participating locations** to enjoy a free KFC Bowl.

McDonald’s: McDonald’s is offering free Happy Meals at several locations through Thursday, Jan. 16. You must order on the McDonald’s app. To find a list of participating restaurants, visit mcdonaldssocalcares.com. Also, the chain is using food trucks to serve first responders 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. through Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Rose Bowl, 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, Pasadena. A Snack Truck will be at Osborne Church, 13501 Osborne St., Arleta 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 14.

Round Table Pizza: First responders can receive a free personal cheese pizza at any of the chain’s Los Angeles area restaurants through Thursday, Jan. 16. roundtablepizza.com

Tender Greens: The local chain is offering free meals to first responders at all of its Los Angeles area locations through the end of the month. tendergreens.com. Tocaya is making the same offer. tocaya.com

The Habit Burger & Grill: The Irvine-based chain is offering first responders a free meal with a charburger or veggie burger at all of its Los Angeles County locations through Wednesday, Jan. 14. Orders must be made in person. habitburger.com/LoveLA

Wahlburgers: The burger chain will be offering free meals to first responders through Jan. 14 at 6922 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles. wahlburgers.com
