In her new podcast, "Are You a Charlotte?," Davis shares the story, recalling how she got what appeared to be a downgraded contract delivered to her trailer while she was shooting the pilot, despite starting out with what she calls a "big, thick, 7-year deal."
Davis called her lawyer and he told her not to sign the document. "I was like, Oh God, Oh Jesus. What are they trying to do to me? What's happening?" Davis recalls thinking. "I was so stressed. And then I was just like, 'I'm just not going to mention this to anyone else. I'm just going to pretend like everything's fine.' But inside I was really nervous about it."
