He led Georgia to an SEC Championship but saw his draft stock slip throughout the season. Beck then suffered a season-ending elbow injury in the SEC title game that kept him from playing in the College Football Playoff.
Beck decided to enter the transfer portal instead of trying his luck in the 2025 NFL Draft. He quickly decided to commit to Miami FL and announced his decision on social media.

Beck Will Be Coming Off Injured UCL
Beck suffered a rough elbow injury that required season-ending surgery. He was hit on the elbow when throwing a deep pass in the first half of the 2024 SEC Championship Game vs Texas. This injury caused him to miss the CFP matchup vs Notre Dame. Gunner Stockton started in his place and was 20/32 for 234 yards with a touchdown in the 23-10 loss to the Fighting Irish.
There is a good chance that Carson Beck will not be available for spring ball as he continues to recover from surgery so he will be getting limited reps heading into fall training camp before the season begins.

Miami finished 10-3 in 2024 and just missed the College Football Playoff after a loss on the final day of the regular season kept them out of the ACC Title Game. All eyes will be on Beck this fall and will he be able to get Miami into the playoff?
Beck has shown plenty of promise as a starter with 58 career touchdown passes but he wasn’t as consistent in 2024 as he was in 2023. He threw 28 touchdown passes this season against 12 interceptions. In games against Texas, Alabama, and Florida he threw 3 interceptions showing he can get a little careless with the football.
