Mandhana achieved the feat during the ongoing first game of the ODI series against the Ireland Women's National Cricket Team. The opening game of the three-match series between the teams is taking place at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Mandhana, during her innings, surpassed the 4000-run mark and became only the second Indian woman cricketer after Mithali Raj to achieve the remarkable milestone. Overall, she became the 15th player in the history of Women's cricket to go past the landmark.

Mandhana, who has been going through the purple patch in the ODIs, played an innings of 41 runs off 29 balls. The opening batter batted with a strike rate of over 141 and also slammed 6 fours and 1 six in her innings, taking her team off to a flyer.
Mandhana played a vital role for her team and would be keen to carry on her confidence in the next two games. With the way, India Women's National Cricket approached the chase; they looked all set to win the game and take a lead of 1-0.
