THE NFL’s Week 18 schedule didn’t provide many interesting games for fans to watch.

That was especially apparent in the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos matchup.

The Chiefs locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC after Week 17 and decided to rest their starters for important playoff games.

Top players like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce did not appear in the final game of the regular season.

On the other hand, the Broncos needed to win the game to earn the No. 7 seed in the AFC and punch their ticket into the playoffs.

Those two conditions resulted in a completely lopsided game in which the Broncos demolished the Chiefs’ backups.

Denver had 479 total yards compared to the Chiefs’ 125 total yards,

The game finished with a score of 38-0, and the Broncos made it into the playoffs.

However, Broncos fans outside of the local market could not watch their team win their biggest game of the season, as CBS kicked the game off the national broadcast.

In the third quarter, CBS switched to the matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders because it was a “more competitive game.”

NFL fans got a good laugh out of the Chiefs and Broncos getting kicked off TV and shared on social media.

“Lol… we just got ‘better gamed’ by CBS in the 3rd qtr. Glad they finally caught on that the #Chiefs were very unserious about this,” one fan said.

“CBS changed games because they didn’t want to keep showing the Chiefs get curb stomped,” another fan said.

“You know it’s bad when the network switches to ‘a more competitive game,'” a third fan said.

“Pat Mahomes isn’t playing so CBS decided to take the game off air in its entirety,” a fourth fan said.

“Not the Chiefs playing so bad they took them off tv,” a fifth fan said.

After the Broncos dismantled the Chiefs and got kicked off live TV, the playoff matchups across the NFL are officially set.
