KANSAS CITY CHIEFS made a huge call over Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce ahead of the NFL playoffs.
Coach Andy Reid opted to play their final game of the regular season without his two key men.

He took a limited part in practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday then was listed as doubtful for the Week 18 game.
Kelce, meanwhile, was also doubtful purely for tactical reasons.
And lo and behold, when the Chiefs confirmed their inactive for the Broncos clash, both Mahomes and Kelce were listed.
Isiah Pacheco, Trent McDuffie, George Karlaftis, Jawaan Taylor and Chris Jones were also missing.
However, it appeared to simply be a case of Reid resting and protecting his stars for the NFL post-season.
Chiefs started 15-1 in their blistering attempt at a third consecutive Super Bowl triumph.
And they knew the AFC No1 seed slot was already wrapped up before the Broncos match.
That meant they secured a bye to the AFC Divisional playoffs on January 18-19, giving them next weekend off.
So Reid made the brave call to drop Mahomes, 29, and Kelce, 35, against the Broncos.
The pair both travelled with the squad – despite a nightmare journey delayed by four hours due to a snow storm – and were in attendance for the match.
But they watched on helpless as the Broncos stormed to an emphatic 38-0 victory.
However, Reid stood by his decision and will know he ensured his top talents avoided injury and will be ready and raring to go in the playoffs to try and fire the Chiefs to yet another Super Bowl triumph in New Orleans on February 9.
Reid said: “The positive for us is we got to play a lot of young guys, and that experience is invaluable especially against a good football team.
“We need to do better, obviously, but that opportunity is something special.”
