— Jacob Polacheck (@PolacheckKSR) December 21, 2024Kentucky is doing very well in the transfer portal thus far this offseason after a very disappointing 4-8 season that saw the Wildcats finish 15th in the SEC, only ahead of Mississippi State. So far the Cats have brought in former Incarnate Word (and Texas A&M) QB Zach Calzada, Nebraska RB Dante Dowdell, Alabama WR Kendrick Law, USC edge rusher Sam Greene and many more.
So far, only Avery Stuart has transferred out of Kentucky’s secondary, which was stout last season despite the Wildcats’ struggles overall. Kentucky possessed the No. 3 passing defense in the conference behind only Texas and Tennessee in terms of yards allowed per game.
It’s certainly a better situation for Thomas, who is coming from one of the worst P4 secondaries in the country. Time will tell if he can earn a spot on next year’s depth chart.
