Jasprit Bumrah revealed that Mohammed Siraj is battling with a niggle; despite this, the fiery pacer is pushing through the pain to support the Indian cricket team's bowling attack in the crucial third Test of the ongoing five-match Test series at The Gabba in Brisbane.

Jasprit Bumrah hails Siraj's grit as Indian pacer pushes through pain at The Gabba
Jasprit Bumrah said at the press conference, “We have had a conversation. He had with me before we came here. In this game, he had a niggle. He kept bowling; he knew the team would be under pressure without him.”
However, to the relief of the Indian cricket team, Siraj returned to the field shortly before the first session on Sunday concluded at The Gabba. However, he did not bowl again before lunch was called but returned with the ball later in the game and finished with two wickets in the first innings.
Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team is currently in deep trouble at 44/4 in the ongoing third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia at The Gabba, Brisbane. Mitchell Starc provided a solid start to Australia by removing Yashasvi Jaiswal (4) and Shubman Gill (1) cheaply.

Speaking to the media in Brisbane, Bumrah emphasized the importance of building a strong partnership while acknowledging the frustration caused by frequent rain interruptions in the Gabba Test. The Indian pacer also stressed the need to focus on staying at the crease and batting for as long as possible.
Jasprit Bumrah stated, “We are thinking about batting. Good partnership needed; obviously frustrating with breaks, but cannot fight weather. Try and bat as long as possible.”
