(KRON) -- The Pleasanton Police Department will be assigning additional officers to patrol in the area of a new Costco store that opened the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The opening drew large crowds with many shoppers even attempting to camp out outside the store for days in advance. "We understand the excitement surrounding Costco's grand opening here in Pleasanton, and we appreciate your enthusiasm." Pleasanton PD said in a social media post. "However, as we welcome this new business to our community, we kindly ask for your patience and cooperation."
