Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was reportedly arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI), as confirmed by TMZ Sports. The 30-year-old player allegedly reached speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour on a Los Angeles freeway, prompting a traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
According to a statement from the CHP, officers from the West Valley Area Office observed a white Dodge sedan speeding at over 100 mph. Upon stopping the vehicle, law enforcement noticed "objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment" in Robinson, leading to his arrest. Following the incident, he was cited and subsequently released to a "responsible party."
The arrest details were first reported by TMZ, which indicated that the driver identified himself as Robinson. The CHP's statement, shared with The Associated Press, reiterated their observations of impairment.
In his second season with the Rams, Robinson has contributed significantly to the team's offense, recording 26 receptions for 384 yards and leading the team with six touchdown catches. He has started all 11 games this season, serving as a reliable third option for quarterback Matthew Stafford, alongside star receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.
Before joining the Rams, Robinson spent six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was part of the team that won the Super Bowl in February 2020. He also had a stint with the Baltimore Ravens prior to his arrival in Los Angeles.
