The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Storm Warning issued for the western slope of the northern Sierra Nevada, until 8 AM this morning. One to three inches of additional snow accumulations is likely, with the snow levels ranging between 6,000 to 7,000 feet. The snow levels will rise through the day into Friday. Winds may continue gusting as high as forty-five mph. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for both Yosemite National Park (above the Valley floor) and the western slope of the northern Sierra Nevada, from Friday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon.
