Mater Dei and Santa Margarita lost in CIF Southern California Regional girls volleyball finals Tuesday. Mater Dei lost to Cathedral Catholic of San Diego in four sets: 20-25, 25-22, 20-25, 22-25. Santa Margarita was swept by Palos Verdes 3-0. Cathedral Catholic and Palos Verdes advance to the CIF State Championships finals that will be played Friday and Saturday at Santiago Canyon College in Orange.
