(KRON) -- One person was hospitalized after being shot by a Bay Area Rapid Transit Police Department officer in the Union City BART station parking lot Monday, according to transit officials. The police shooting happened at around 9:30 p.m., BART said. According to the agency, one suspect was shot by police and then transported to the hospital. The current condition of the person is unknown. No other injuries in the incident were reported.
