Syria, China discuss ways to develop cooperation in water sector ...Syria

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Water Resources, Eng. Moataz Qattan, discussed Sunday with Chinese Ambassador in Damascus, Shi Hongwei, ways to enhance and develop cooperation between the two countries in the water sector. Minister Qattan highlighted the great importance of the sectors supervised by the Ministry of Water Resources, namely drinking water, irrigation and sanitation, indicating to their close connection to economic, environmental and social aspects. Qattan shed light on the ministry’s efforts to rehabilitate the infrastructure destroyed by terrorism, referring to the difficulties associated with this work, especially in light of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syria
