WESTERN N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A roundup of tests on areas affected by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina shows lingering bacterial contamination. The North Carolina Dept. of Health and Human Services said over 1,400 tests across 13 counties found that around a third showed some form of coliform bacteria contamination, with some of the bacteria being E. coli, which can cause severe stomach issues.
