As Michael said, yes, it might make Logan O’Hoppe a TINY bit more stomach-able for the Angels to trade (and we know the Cubs wanted him at the deadline), but it’s far more likely the plan is specifically to pair O’Hoppe with d’Arnaud (and not just because they create symmetry by both having apostrophes in their name).
