Hatem Ali was known for role in spreading the popularity of Syrian dramas in the Arab world. Prominent Syrian director Hatem Ali died at the age of 58 in Cairo on Tuesday, local media reported, citing a heart attack. Ali, whose career spanned three decades, rose to prominence for his drama series' which helped transport Syrian television to the wider region. Among his most famous works were Mirrors (1998), Four Seasons (1999), King Farouk (2007) and most recently Orkadia (2017).
