Traffic Stop Yields Arrest for Stolen Property ...Middle East

Mountain Ranch, CA…On December 16, 2020, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Off-Highway Vehicle Enforcement Deputy was patrolling Ponderosa Road in Mountain Ranch. While patrolling, the deputy observed a person operating an all-terrain vehicle on Ponderosa Road while its driver was not wearing a helmet. The deputy also noticed there was no visible registration placard on the all-terrain vehicle. The deputy initiated a traffic enforcement stop and contacted the operator, who was identified as Roland Ted Retherford (62 years old of Mountain Ranch, CA).
