Protesters in Syria’s southern province of As-Suwayda took to the streets again today, Friday, August 9, confirming the continuation of their peaceful movement for the 359th consecutive day. The local network Suwayda 24 reported that crowds of protesters gathered from various villages and areas of the province to participate in the central demonstration in the al-Karamah Square, demanding the overthrow of the regime. The demonstration included speeches, chants of popular songs, and the honoring of engineer Mursil al-Barouqi in al-Karamah Square, who previously refused government recognition due to his opposition to the regime.
