It’s set to be a huge weekend of racing on the Flat, with the first two Classic races of the season due to take place at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile.  Both the 2000 Guineas and the 1000 Guineas are steeped in history, with the mile-long contests giving the three-year-old colts and fillies the chance to prove themselves as the best in their generation.  The colts take centre stage on Saturday in the 2000 Guineas, in which City Of Troy is a short-priced favourite for the all-conquering Aidan O’Brien.  The Irish maestro has won the race a record 10 times already and he’s already hinted that his colt could be one of the best he’s ever trained – though we’re sure we’ve heard that one before…
