Wolves vs. Arsenal (0-2)

Arsenal, the Gunners emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. The game was filled with intense moments and skilled plays from both teams, but it was Arsenal who ultimately came out on top.

The first goal of the match came in the 32nd minute when Bukayo Saka found the back of the net with a powerful strike. This early lead gave Arsenal momentum and confidence as they continued to press forward.

The Gunners secured a 2-0 win at Wolves on Saturday night but, despite the comfortable score line, it had "last man standing" feel by the end given the circumstances around it. Wolves were hampered by wretched injury list and Arsenal were running on empty this week after losing to Aston Villa and then succumbing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

This was one of those occasions where the result was paramount: Arsenal simply had to win, no matter how, to reverse the feeling that their season was slipping away in a matter of days.

Kai Havertz in the first minute suggested that fans were in for an exciting game, but the two sides quickly cancelled each other out as they struggled to create good goal-scoring opportunities.

The best of them fell to Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes on the half-hour mark as he went on a slashing run down the right before unleashing a powerful shot that David Raya palmed onto the near post to avert the danger.

Both came to him on the edge of the box five minutes apart, and after his initial sighter was side-footed straight at the keeper, he should have done better with the second chance when a better sight of goal arrived but instead, he threaded it just past the post.

Wolves looked like a side struggling for confidence having been winless in their last five matches, including three of the last five in the league, but their supporters were the ones next to have their heads in their hands thanks to an excellent David Raya save on the half-hour mark.

The visitors had to wait until the fifth minute of stoppage time at the end of the game to finally kill off Wolves and Odegaard provided the finishing touch.

He converted from the tightest of angles on the right after seeing his first effort saved.

Wolves came close to scoring before Trossard’s opener when Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya pushed Joao Gomes’ shot onto the post.
