D'après plusieurs sites spécialisés, al-Qaïda au Maghreb islamique (Aqmi) a nommé un de ses cadres à la tête de l'organisation pour remplacer Abdelmalek Droukdel, tué en juin dernier, lors d'une opération militaire française, dans le nord du Mali. Le nouveau chef s'appelle Abou Oubéïda Youssef. C'est un membre influent d'Aqmi.
