LOCH SHELDRAKE, N.Y., — Mount Academy’s boys basketball team’s turnaround season ended Tuesday night with a 54-42 loss to Chapel Field in the Section 9 Class D championship game at SUNY Sullivan. Coming off a 3-18 campaign, the Eagles finished with a 14-5 record. Chapel Field (11-6) scored the first five points of Tuesday’s title game and never trailed. The Lions, who lost to Avoca-Prattsburgh in the Class D state title game last year, were led in scoring by Jonah McDuffie (20) in the win over Mount Academy.
