Moscow, SANA- The Russian mission to the UN Security Council on Saturday requested an emergency meeting of the Council following the US aggression that targeted public and private facilities in Syrian and Iraqi territories. “We have just asked to convene an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council due the threats to peace and security sparked by the US strikes on Iraq and Syria,” Sputnik quoted Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky as saying.
