WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – Land that used to make up part of the golf course at Ives Hill Country Club in Watertown could be rezoned. Developer P.J. Simao still owns 16 acres of property, which was not part of the sale of Ives Hill to Jake Johnson, who downsized Ives Hill to 9 holes under a restriction put on the property when Watertown bought the Thompson Park Golf Course. Simao is now asking for the rest of the golf course land that he owns in the city to be rezoned from residential to planned campus district.
