Former WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch was sentenced to 17 years in prison followed by eight years probation for a deadly crash in which she was driving drunk.
Assistant State Attorney Ashley Terwilleger sought the maximum penalty of 25 years in prison for Sytch, whom they have called a “a danger to society" for repeated offenses. Sytch’s attorneys argued she has mental health issues, which they said make a much lower sentence more appropriate, according to court records.
Sytch, 50, pleaded no contest on Aug. 26 to one count of DUI manslaughter; driving while license suspended with death; four counts of DUI with damage to person; and two counts of DUI with damage to property.

She was arrested in May 2022, just four months after she was released from an eight-month stint in prison for a previous DUI.
Prosecutors sought the maximum penalty of 26 years in prison for Sytch, who they called a “danger to society” for her repeated offenses.
Sytch pleaded no contest to two felony charges: DUI causing death and driving with a suspended license causing death, as well as six misdemeanor charges.
The 50-year-old has been in jail since May after her bond was revoked, WESH reported. She was facing a maximum of 25 years in prison.
In 2019, Sytch was charged with her sixth DUI after being arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. She allegedly drove down the wrong way of a one-way street with a suspended license, which led to her 8-month prison stay.
In 2022, a judge revoked her bond after prosecutors filed a motion citing previous DUI convictions from states outside of Florida and said she's a threat to the community.
Pennsylvania, and years later violated probation. The state also alleged that Sytch's license was suspended.
Sytch has been held in the Volusia County jail without bond ever since.
Lassiter's family sued Sytch for at least $30,000 to cover medical and funeral expenses, as well as an emotional loss.
