Lakers hosted the Portland Trail Blazers in California.

The Lakers won the game by a score of 116-110, and Anthony Davis led the way with 30 points and 13 rebounds.

Cam Reddish also had another excellent game, putting up 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block while shooting 7/10 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 38 minutes of playing time.

James' supporting cast couldn't pull away from Portland, but Davis took charge down the stretch for the Lakers, scoring nine points in the fourth quarter while Los Angeles held on in its first game back from a 1-3 trip.

Austin Reaves, who scored 18 points. “Anytime he gets on the floor — you never want to have LeBron or anybody out, but anytime you’ve got Anthony Davis on the floor, you’ve got a chance. He changes the game.”

Cam Reddish scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half for Los Angeles, and D'Angelo Russell had 11 points and 11 assists.

“We've got to just come out from the jump and play to the best of our ability, with energy,” Reddish said. “Obviously, we got the win, so that's all good, but I think we can do a better job of just playing hard throughout the whole 48. But it was a good win.”

The Lakers trailed at halftime, 57-56, and remained the only team without a halftime lead all season. Reddish rolled over his strong game Friday into a solid first half Sunday, scoring 16 points.

Matisse Thybulle in the first half. The Portland swingman scored 14 points in the half, including four three-pointers, despite averaging only 5.4 points a game before Sunday.

The Lakers seemed to take control with a 35-point third quarter, but Portland would not go away. It helped that the Trail Blazers were much more effective from the three-point range, making 13 of 37 from deep.

Reddish and the Lakers had been linked for so many years, and his first few weeks with the team make it clear why. The environment seems to be a perfect fit for the fifth-year player, and in return he has helped the team get through an injury-riddled period in relatively good shape.
