An Ottawa man has been indicted for attempted rape and three Wood County residents face sex-related allegations. A Wood County grand jury on Nov. 1 indicted Neil J. Diemer, 53, of Ottawa and currently in jail, for attempted rape, a first-degree felony; importuning, a third-degree felony; disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a fifth-degree felony; and possessing criminal tools, also a fifth-degree felony. On Oct. 29, he allegedly attempted to engage in sex with another who was under the age of 13. This charge has a specification of forfeiture of a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500.
