Canberra: The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) has become the nation’s first jurisdiction to decriminalise small quantities of illicit drugs, evoking mixed responses. From October 28, the personal possession of small amounts of the most common illicit drugs became decriminalised in the ACT, which consists of Canberra and its surrounding suburbs, Xinhua news agency reported.
