Patrol investigating serious injury crash in Lake Twp. ...Middle East

Troopers from the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Luckey Road at Hanley Road in Lake Township this afternoon. Shortly before 2:30 p.m., Phyllis Ashworth, 77, Millbury, was driving a 2006 Buick LaCrosse westbound on Hanley Road and was stopped at the stop sign at Luckey Road. Justin W. Werner, 21, Perrysburg, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Luckey Road. Ashworth failed to yield the right-of-way at the stop sign and struck Werner’s vehicle. Werner then traveled off the west side of Luckey Road and struck a street sign. Werner over-corrected, went off the east side of Luckey Road and struck a utility pole
