Pop-up dog park “Yappy Hour” and fundraiser is Sept. 23 ...Middle East

A fenced play space will be the feature at the fall “Yappy Hour” sponsored by the Citizens for BG Dog Parks. Dog owners and their canine friends are invited to enjoy the large off-leash area at Arlyn’s Good Beer on Saturday from 3 p.m. to sunset. In case of rain, the event will be held on Sept. 30. Arlyn’s, located at 520 Hankey Avenue in Bowling Green, will donate 16% of all beer sales on the day of the event in support of the efforts by CFBGDP to establish a dog park in the city. Donations will also be accepted at the “doggie door.” Kevin’s Kajunette food truck offering a Creole-style menu will be at the event from 4-8 p.m. Musical entertainment starting at 7 p.m. will be provided by guita
