A Labor Day celebration will be held Monday, Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Todd Grove Park and Clubhouse, 600 Live Oak Ave. in Ukiah. Speakers will include: Congressman Jared Huffman, Assemblymember Jim Wood, California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks and local labor leaders. Music will be provided by the Mendocino Gaggle of Raging Grannies. Food from Chef Denny. Labor Day celebrates the women and men who campaigned tirelessly for workers’ rights in the labor movement of the late 18th century.
