Two arrests for operating a vehicle under the influence were made during a Friday checkpoint on East Wooster Street. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, along with assistance from the Bowling Green Police Division, Wood County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio Department of Transportation, conducted the checkpoint. A total of 1,072 vehicles were checked from 7:30-10 p.m. In that time, there were two OVI arrests made, along with three firearms seized (as a result of driving impaired while in possession of loaded firearms) and one felony drug arrest.
