The wasteful hosts could have effectively killed the tie, but the depleted Swiss visitors pulled one back out of nowhere just before the break when Dessers' handball - spotted by the VAR - allowed Chris Bedia to slam in a spot-kick.
RANGERS B left themselves with work to do to see off Servette after a narrow 2-1 win over the Swiss side in the first leg of their Champions League third qualifying round at Ibrox.

Rangers emerged from the interval with a renewed vigour, restoring their advantage just five minutes into the second period. The home side were patient once again in their build-up, allowing Lyall to pick up possession unchecked 25 yards from goal. The 19-year-old lifted his head before arrowing a powerful effort which was tipped onto the inside of the post from the Blackpool goalkeeper and over the line.

Rangers looked to re-establish their control in the closing stages, going close through McCausland with the last kick of the ball before the referee drew the game to a close.
