The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced that temperatures will rise by 8C across most parts of Egypt on Monday, reaching up to 35C in Upper Egypt. The weather is expected to be moderately hot on Sunday – temperatures in Greater Cairo (Cairo-Giza-Qalyubia) will be 27C during the day and 15C at night. Meteorologists attributed the rise in temperatures to the country being affected by a high-pressure area that controls all Egypt governorates.
