MME, Indonesian embassy organises tree planting initiative ...Qatar

 The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME)’s Public Gardens Department organised an event in co-operation with the Indonesian embassy in Doha as part of the 1mn tree planting initiative. MME official Khalid Ahmed al-Sandy, Indonesia’s ambassador to Qatar Ridwan Hassan, and some community members attended the event at the Airport Park. Hassan pointed out that as one of the countries with the largest tropical forest in the world, Indonesia gives immense importance to the environment, and has been part of the concerted efforts in tackling biodiversity loss and ecosystem deterioration.
