Abu Dhabi: All bus drivers in Abu Dhabi Emirate, and more than 80 per cent of taxi drivers, have already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) announced on Thursday. In total, 7,166 drivers were vaccinated by the end of May, including all 1,460 public bus drivers, and 5,706 taxi drivers. The vaccinations were undertaken during a campaign carried out by the emirate’s public transport regulator, part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, in coordination with the Department of Health and public health provider, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha).
