Valley Springs, CA…Calaveras Consolidated Firefighters, CalFire, and San Andreas Fire responded to a vegetation fire this afternoon in New Hogan Estates above La Contenta. The fire burned approximately 2 acres—a close call for several homes. This is why defensible space is so essential around your homes…it makes a difference for firefighters.
