In 2018 there was 17.72 million two-way seats on routes between Europe and China, with this having risen from just 7.47 million in 2009. Jonathan Ford looks at the biggest players in the market, the number of routes that have been added in the past few years, and highlights the recent announcements for 2019.  One of the final routes that launched between China and Europe in 2018, of which there were 30, was Sichuan Airlines’ service between Chengdu and Copenhagen.
