Republican Yemen UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths said he met with the spokesman of the Houthi rebels, Mohammed Abdel Salam, in Muscat on Thursday to discuss a nationwide ceasefire. “My recent meetings, as well as the continued international and regional support, show that the parties could still seize this opportunity and make a breakthrough towards resolving the conflict,” Mr. Griffiths said.
