Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, conducted an aerial survey of cyclone Yaas affected districts in Odisha. He arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport around noon today and held a meeting with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal and other senior officials. PM Modi then went on for aerial survey and then moved on to West Bengal. The Centre has announced a total sum of Rs 1000cr for cyclone-related assistance in the states of Odisha, Jharkhand and W.st Bengal. Odisha has been granted financial aid of Rs 500cr.
