Ross Sandler’s op-ed in these pages the other day reminded us how dire is the BQE, particularly the Brooklyn Heights triple cantilevered section that was long past its useful life a year ago when a mayoral expert panel recommended a complete rehab. It’s a year later, and while us humans have hidden inside from the virus, the salt and water and cold and heat and traffic didn’t quarantine and further degraded the structure.
